South Snohomish County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter Network (CWS)
A warm, caring, safe place for homeless individuals to stay on cold winters nights. We are a coalition of caring people in South Snohomish County coming together to help those in need.
CWS provides a warm bed, hot supper, hearty breakfast, and sack lunch to those less fortunate on winter nights. Our doors open when temperatures drop below 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
During the winter of 2011/2012 we:
- hosted 37 shelter nights
- provided 693 warm beds
- served 2,079 meals
A warm, safe place to sleep. A hot dinner. Nice people. A hot breakfast. A sack lunch to go.
The Cold Weather Shelter is open any time the local weather forecast is for 33 degrees or below overnight. The notice that the shelter will be open on any night will be done no later than 9:00 am.
Anyone wanting to know if the shelter is open can call Trinity Lutheran Church at 425-776-2159 and select extension 296.
Shelter guests will be picked up at the Lynnwood City Hall main entrance (19100 44th Ave. W, next to the Lynnwood Library) at 7:o0 pm or at the bus stop on 196th St., immediately west of Highway 99 in Lynnwood, at 7:10 pm.
All are welcome and are cared for.
